It is engineered beautifully in a combination of an Arca-type baseplate and a quick-release camera mounting plate secured by a clamp lever.
And multiple threaded holes let you mount the camera to handles, L-brackets, cages, tripods, jib, or other mounts and make moving from one setup to the next super convenient for you.
Also, the screws and rubber cushions are there for camera attachment and protection.

SnapRig Arca-Type Quick Release Plate w Base

The only problem that I have found is that it does not lock tight with a plate from a different maker. Due to different camera gear, I had purchase different Arca plates. But the product is of good quality, and it works very well with the Arca plate supplied. The service and support are excellent. Well done to the team.
