The movable design also works for dolly shots because since the rails move along with the carriage, they won't get in the shot when you dolly in and out.
Belt driven system and 16 ball-bearing wheels provide a smooth, noise-free move on the track rails.
The slider locking mechanism helps capture the static shots and keep your camera secure.

1/4''-20 screw and 1/4" to 3/8" Adapter allows the camera platform to accommodate all DSLR DSLM cameras and video camcorders.

Q: What is the actual length of this slider?

Ans: The actual length of Proaim Spark slider is as follows :
13 inch / 33cm

Q: Can you mount this with 2 tripods or does it just have the center mount?

Ans: This slider has only center mount for tripod. It has 1/4"- 20 and 3/8"- 16 tripod mounting threads on sliding base.

Q: How much does this slide?

Ans: The Sliding Range of this slider is as follows:

On Tripod : 18”

Q: Is it possible to lock the slider on a static position?

Ans : Yes, Proaim Spark slider has mechanical lever lock to lock the slider on a static position.

Q: What sort of tripod is compatible with?

Ans: This slider has 1/4"- 20, 3/8"- 16 tripod mounting threads on sliding base. Any tripod which has this same thread setting is compatible with Proaim Spark slider.

Q: Can I focus on a person and as I slide the camera stays fixed on the one spot?

Ans: This is possible in case you use a fluid head on the slider. It just takes practice, you need to slide and pan the fluid head simultaneously while shooting to achieve these kind of shots.

Q: What is the belt made of?

Ans: The belt is made up of nylon.

Q: Can it be used as diagonal and vertical?

Ans:You can use this slider in a diagonal and vertical position with the help of tripod fluid head. You have to adjust the tripod fluid head in order to use the slider in these specific positions.

Q: Can you attach a motor to either side of the slider?

Ans: Sorry, it is not possible to attach motor with Spark slider.

Q: Does it come with carry case?

Ans: Yes, Proaim Spark sliders comes in carry bag for easy transportation.

Q: What is the weight of this slider?

Ans: The weight of Proaim Spark Slider is as follows :
Proaim Spark 13” slider : 1.8kg/ 3.9lb (Without Packing) and 2.4 kg / 5.2 lb (With Packing).

Q: For the smoothest slides should the belt be tight or lose and what about the tension adjustment on the body? Tighter or lose for best quality?

Ans : The belt is set at the point such that the slider can be used directly out of the box to yield good results and the customer doesn’t have to make any amendments in it. Tightening the belt also increases friction on the pullies which could make it harder to move the shuttles smoothly. As long as the belt isn't slipping off the pullies, loose is probably better. Incase, you feel the belt is slightly loose or tight, you can adjust it accordingly.

Q: Description says on the ground slider only moves "within normal size range." Extension only on tripod? How?

Ans : The tripod connects to the counter slide on the bottom giving it double the extension. When on a tripod it moves on a pulley system doubling the length of the slide. When on the ground, it slides on the inside rails covering only the distance of the unit. The base of the slider acts as a kind of counterbalance when it is on the ground so you only get movement for the length of the slider.

Q: Does this device produce any sound while sliding?

Ans : This slider is absolutely soundless.

Q: Is it returnable for a full refund if it doesn’t meet my expectations upon delivery?
